21 DAYS OF YOGA | RESILIENCE IN 2020

October 13 - November 2

During this 21-day yoga challenge, we will focus on breath as the fundamental tool to regulate our nervous system (i.e. mood, emotions), and learn how to move from a state of overwhelm to a place of calm, in just a couple of minutes.

What to expect:

  • 15 minutes a day, beginner* friendly, asana (movement) and pranayama (breathwork);

  • 7:30am -- live on Zoom for those who can make it, on-demand immediately after for those who cannot.

  • Exposure to yogic philosophy, including the 8 Limbs of Yoga, chakras and prana (energy, or life force) systems, why we om, and lots more.

  • Understanding of neuroscience and the latest research on the vagus nerve as an indicator of health, as well as yoga's critical role in stimulating the nerve, through both asana and pranayama.

  • Deep dive into a couple easy, effective pranayama techniques, as well as various relaxation methods and breath-focused meditations to have in your toolkit.

  • An improved sense of community, connection, and compassion during these overwhelming times (really, this is what the science is telling us!)

*Please note - the challenge is beginner-friendly, however if you have never practiced with me, please schedule a 30 minute consult prior to Oct 13, by emailing me at info@juliedorseyyoga.com
